Optional insurance : Medium Excess

When you book a rental vehicle with Europcar, the price indicated automatically includes third-party liability insurance with excess (the amount of this excess varies depending on the category chosen).

By subscribing to this protection, you will reduce the amount of the maximum financial responsibility (“deductible”) applicable in the event of damage caused to the vehicle according to the category of the desired vehicle. However, you will have to pay a reduced deductible. The Partial Franchise Redemption or PCDW is a reduced deductible depending on the category including Glass Breakage and any hubcaps.

To find out more, ask your rental agency when making your reservation or picking up your vehicle. You remain liable even in the event of subscription to the total or partial redemption of the deductible:

• loss of vehicle keys and its consequences

• locking the vehicle with the keys inside and its consequences

• the replacement of the battery discharged by you and its consequences

• the fuel error and its consequences

• tire-related damage and its consequences.

Damage to the top of the body and the underbody of the Vehicle linked to a poor assessment of the size of the Vehicle is not covered. The Partial Excess Surrender does not reduce your financial responsibility for damage to or theft of the Vehicle itself, for which you remain liable in any event if you do not comply with the general rental conditions.
